A Whole Afrobloggers Awards Nominee

From now on you can call me ‘Thick’N’Stylish, a whole Afroblogger Awards nominee’. Every time I talk to anyone, I’ll mention that I was nominated for an award 😅😅 Please don’t mind me haha. I’m just so ecstatic. I am excited and humbled to announce that I have been nominated for the Afrobloggers best Lifestyle blog for the Afrobloggers Awards 2020.

I was super surprised when the announcement was made by Afrobloggers that I was one of the 140 African Bloggers to be nominated for the very first Afrobloggers Awards 2020. Why? I am so grateful and honoured to be recognised by my peers, followers on social media, family and friends as a writer worthy of being nominated.

When I started blogging, I wanted to share my experiences as a plus size women. My aim was to impact the lives of people needing some body positivity, confidence and fashion inspiration. Never did I think my writing would get a nomination for an award. I have been nominated alongside some really talented ladies in the Best Lifestyle Blog Category and I wish them all the best too.

Thank you to all of you who have supported me thus far. Your comments, shares and likes have gotten me to this point and I am truly grateful. I hope God will continue guiding this brand and that it will continue growing and spreading this beautiful word I so advocate for.

A big, big thank you to Afrobloggers for giving African Bloggers a voice, platform and encouragement to pursue their dreams as well as strengthen their skillset. From my first blog post, they have been promoting and sharing my work and that means a lot to someone (I know this through experience) who has just started out. Creating a community of individuals with different niches and styles of writing was such an ingenious idea. May God continue to bless this platform and those working behind the scenes.

*Please note you can only vote once so please do ask everyone you know to vote😊 Every vote counts.

*Voting runs until the 5th of February
